Harnett and Lee County high school graduates recently participated in a graduation banquet of the Upward Bound Harnett, Upward Bound Lee, and Upward Bound Math & Science Programs. The programs represent three of the six federal TRiO programs hosted by Central Carolina Community College.

These three sisters have all participated in the Central Carolina Community College Upward Bound programs. They are, left to right: Katerina Marroquin (Overhills High School/Upward Bound Math & Science Class of 2016, current student at Georgetown University), Sophia Marroquin (Overhills High School/Upward Bound Math & Science Class of 2019, headed to UNC Charlotte), and Klaudia Marroquin (Overhills High School, Upward Bound Harnett Class of 2020).
