CCCC celebrates 50th at Chatham Campus

A 5K Rabbit Run April 28 got Central Carolina Community College's 50th Anniversary celebration at its Chatham County Campus off to a fast start. Ninety-five runners took part. The run was one of the attractions at the celebration, which drew hundreds of visitors. The college's 50th celebration will continue, with an event June 2 at the Harnett Campus and a final event June 28 at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. A huge tethered balloon offered an exciting lift above the Chatham County Campus of Central Carolina Community College April 28 during the college's 50th Anniversary celebration. The balloon, which rose about 40 feet off the ground, attracted a crowd of adults and children, all eager for their turn. It was one of the attractions at the celebration, which drew hundreds of visitors. The college's 50th celebration will continue, with an event June 2 at the Harnett County Campus and a final event June 28 at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center.
