SANFORD - The Central Carolina Community College Math Club recently competed -- and finished second overall -- in the North Carolina Mathematical Association of Two Year Colleges (NCMATYC) mathematics competition event held at Wake Tech Community College in Raleigh.
Over 100 students competed from 15 community colleges across the state.
Members of the CCCC team were Sean Blackburn (Sanford), Drew Bryan (Sanford), Mackenzie Roche (Sanford), Jaycee Sansom (Pittsboro), and Julian Banguera Torres (Sanford). Mackenzie Roche placed third of all competing students in the morning calculus competition.
