LILLINGTON - Family Medical Supply in Dunn is rapidly expanding and currently looking to hire 100 or more qualified individuals for full-time positions at its Dunn location over the next 15 months.
In a collaborative effort to support our local employers, the Central Carolina Community College Essential Career & Employability Skills program has teamed up with Family Medical Supply to offer a fast-paced employment bootcamp, Job Ready Bootcamp-Healthcare.
This program consists of these employability skills components -- word processing and spreadsheet skills, effective communication skills, job searching, resume writing and interviewing skills, and learning about working in a healthcare environment.
Individuals completing the Job Ready Bootcamp will be considered as top candidates by Family Medical Supply and will get the opportunity to submit applications and resumes for these employment opportunities.
Ideal candidates will have at least a high school diploma or GED/adult high school education and flexible schedule availability to attend in-person and live virtual sessions scheduled at various times; 100% attendance for the soft skills components is required. Bi-lingual, Spanish/English, candidates are highly encouraged to attend and/or apply for employment. A detailed bootcamp schedule will be made available online.
Bootcamp Information & Details:
Seating is limited to nine participants per bootcamp session.
Start Date: May 17.
End Date: June 2.
Teaching method: Blended (Seated and online -- less than 50% online).
Location of seated classes: CCCC Harnett Main Campus, 1075 E. Cornelius Blvd., Lillington, N.C.
Cost: $125.00.
Individuals who are unemployed, underemployed and/or eligible for the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit may be eligible for a fee waiver for the cost of program tuition.
