CCCC celebrates the achievements of the SECU Foundation Bridge to Career Scholarship recipients

SANFORD, N.C. - Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) hosted a Scholarship Recognition Ceremony on Oct. 28 for recipients of the 2023-2024 State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) Foundation Bridge to Career Scholarship. The event was held at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center.

The State Employees Credit Union Foundation established the SECU Bridge to Career Program to help remove financial barriers for students seeking to obtain state-regulated or industry-recognized credentials through the Workforce Continuing Education Division of their local community college that lead to sustainable wage careers within their local communities.

Opening remarks were by Felicia Crittenden, CCCC Associate Vice President of Workforce Development & Continuing Education.

Cintya Cejudo (Pharmacy Technician student) spoke of The Student Experience.

Closing remarks were by Dr. Lisa M. Chapman, CCCC President, and Margaret Roberton, CCCC Vice President for Workforce Development & Chief of Staff.

Jennifer Butler and Casey Goldberg represented the State Employees' Credit Union at the event.

Representing the N.C. Community College System was Dr. Andrew Gardner, Associate Vice President of Workforce Strategies.
