Crystal McIver among Chamber award winners

SANFORD - Crystal McIver, Central Carolina Community College Human Resources Development Plus Director, was recipient of the Business Advocate of the Year honors at the recent Sanford Area Growth Alliance's Chamber Annual Membership Banquet at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center.
Several others award recipients have CCCC connections.
- Hal T. Siler, a former CCCC Trustee, was recipient of the first-ever Chamber Dedicated Service Award.
- Kamilah Davis, a former CCCC student, was named the Chamber's Ambassador of the Year.
- Kirk Bradley, Chairman, President & C.E.O. of Lee-Moore Capital Company, who led the intensive fund-raising to launch the Central Carolina Works initiative, was named as recipient of Duke Energy's Citizenship and Service Award.
- Donnie Oldham, President of Sanford Contractors and a member of the CCCC Board of Trustees, was recipient of the inaugural Chamber Chairman's Award.
- Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home was recognized as the Small Business of the Year. Tommy F. Bridges, President of Bridges-Cameron, is a former CCCC Trustee. His father, James F. Bridges, was a charter member of the college's Board of Trustees.
