SANFORD - The Central Carolina Community College's Small Business Center in Lee County will offer its first online webinar from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7. The webinar is titled, "Email Marketing: How to Build an Email List that Gets Results."
"This webinar will teach the basics of building an email list for your small business, nurturing your list, converting to sales, and retaining the subscribers on your list," said Terri Brown, CCCC Small Business Center Coordinator in Lee County. "We chose this topic to be our first webinar because email marketing belongs on every small business owners' marketing plan. Every $1 invested in email marketing can return as much as $44.25 to a small business, so implementing an effective email marketing campaign is a slam dunk for a small business."
The webinar is open to any current or prospective small business owner - and there is no charge to attend. However, people can register online at www.leesbc.com (under "Scheduled Training Opportunities") or by calling 919-718-7544.
Brown says as the new webinar program gets under way that more will be added in the coming months.
"The addition of webinars to our schedule will give more small business owners an opportunity to attend our educational events," said Brown. "Typically, our seminars occur in the evenings, but not everyone is able to attend an evening seminar. They can now take a break during the day and get valuable training from their home or office. In addition, some business owners prefer to learn online rather than come to a class. It is our goal at the Small Business Center to make access to resources as convenient as possible so that more business owners in our community are able to take advantage of what we have to offer.
"I am very excited that we are going to be adding live webinars to our schedule because it will not only reach more business owners in our community, but it will give us the option to bring in new presenters," said Brown. "We already have some wonderful instructors that present on a range of topics, but now we can build on that by bringing presenters on board that we couldn't before, because they didn't live within driving distance."
