SANFORD - As one scholastic sports calendar comes to a close, the next is already approaching quickly.

Central Carolina Community College's volleyball program added two new recruits Tuesday (5-31-16), then went over across campus for workouts, as the new Lady Cougar season is a little more than two months away.

Grace Christian's Charity Taylor and Falcon Christian's Brianna Roper signed national letters of intent to attend and play for CCCC with head coach Bill Carter, family, friends, past teammates and new teammates on hand.

Taylor and Roper are joining a squad which sported nine freshmen on a 10-player roster last season.

Taylor has been a four-year varsity player and four-year team MVP for Grace Christian as its program has improved in the last two seasons. Taylor, who's been a Lady Crusader soccer standout, too, has earned all-conference and all-tournament accolades in the Carolina Christian Conference and Eastern Plains Independent Conference through her volleyball career.

Southern Lee senior Tara Way signed with CCCC volleyball earlier this spring.
