SANFORD - Central Carolina Community College has presented awards to its athletes for the 2017-18 school year.
Here is a list of the award recipients:
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Most Outstanding Player: David Thompson. Freshman of the Year: Trey North. Sophomore of the Year: Isaiah Monroe. Cougar of the Year: Daniel Matangira.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
MVP: Keyshaunna Walker. Most Improved: Sanastasia Powell.
GOLF
MVP: Chris Brown. Sophomore of the Year: Matthew Honeycutt. Cougar Award: Austin Machak.
VOLLEYBALL
MVP: Alexis Mackenzie. Best Offense: Brooke Young. Best Defense: Tara Way. Cougar Award: Elissa Neal. Coaches Award: Emma Cowfer. Most Improved: Sam Denison.

ALL COUGAR AWARD (3.0 GPA and participate in 75% of the team's games)
