CCCC gets grant for Computer Integrated Machining program

SANFORD - Central Carolina Community College has received a grant from the Gene Haas Foundation that will provide $10,000 in scholarship support to Computer Integrated Machining students.

The CCCC Foundation will award the funds. "Helping students overcome their financial barriers has an enormous impact on that student's academic success," said Dr. Emily Hare, Executive Director of the CCCC Foundation. "We are so grateful for the Gene Haas Foundation's donation, which will directly support many of our Machining students in pursuit of their educational goals."

Edwin Thomas, Chair of the CCCC Machining/Tool & Die Department, noted, "Haas has always been supportive of our program. We're very appreciative of Haas."

Presenting the check to the college was Bill Cranford, Sales Engineer with Haas Factory Outlet, a division of Phillips Corporation.
