CCCC golfer David Smith gets hole-in-one

SANFORD - David Smith, a member of the Central Carolina Community College golf team, recently had a hole-in-one during the Eagles Cup tournament at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Garner.
Smith, a freshman from Siler City, aced the par 3 second hole.
The CCCC team finished eighth in the nine-team tournament. Chris Brown, a freshman from Sanford, led the CCCC team as he tied for 17th individually.
The CCCC golf team, under the direction of Coach Jonathan Hockaday and Assistant Coach Jack Radley, will host the Cougar Classic on Oct. 2 and 3 at the Anderson Creek Golf Club.
