PITTSBORO - Central Carolina Community College will participate in the Carolina Women's Show, which will be held Nov. 10-11 at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center in Pittsboro.

CCCC class information will be available, as well as a ceramics and metal work display.

CCCC will offer two workshops at the Carolina Women's Show on Saturday, Nov 11. They are:

  • At 11 a.m., a "Creative Writing" workshop will be presented by local author Karen Pullen. Her mystery novels, Cold Feet (2013) and Cold Heart (2017), were published by Five Star Cengage, and her story collection, Restless Dreams, was released by Bedazzled Ink last month. She has an MFA in Popular Fiction from Stonecoast at the University of Southern Maine. She lives in Pittsboro and teaches in the Creative Writing program at CCCC.
  • At 1 p.m., a "Starting a Home Business" workshop will be presented by Terri Brown, CCCC Small Business Coordinator in Lee County.
